Owning the best mouse for video games make a difference when it comes to playing. It does not matter if you are a professional or casual gamer; if you play shooting or racing video games, the fact is that having programmable buttons, high-quality sensors, RGB lighting, interchangeable parts … offers a wide variety of advantages compared to a mouse.
Of course, the design of these gaming mice is also quite attractive. The user experience is nothing like what you are used to with your mouse for a lifetime.
To keep the balance, we have included the best wireless and wired gaming mice, cheap gaming mice, and for those with large budgets, but as always, looking for the best value for money.
Razer Naga Trinity
Improving on one of the best gaming mice available, Razer’s Naga Trinity offers the best of the Hex V2 and more. Why? While many gaming mice offer only one configuration, the Trinity, as the name suggests, offers three.
The mouse features an interchangeable side plate and includes 2, 7, and 12 button plates in the box, allowing you to customize the mouse for the type of game you are playing. It’s also simple to do and uses a magnet to snap the plates into place.
It’s not just a gimmick – each board has high-quality buttons that provide tactile feedback with every click, and the ergonomic placement means we haven’t experienced any click errors yet, even with the 12-button board.
This is a tremendous advantage for PC gamers, as it provides up to 19 programmable buttons to be used in your favorite games, all customizable through the Razer software.
In addition to the ability to swap out button plates, the Razer Naga Trinity offers an impressive 5G optical sensor with up to 16,000DPI (although we will settle for 1200) to provide the sensitivity and speed needed to beat the best when gaming.
The design is not very “to the face” either, which is a refreshing change for gaming mice often covered in LED lighting. Don’t get us wrong: some areas are still illuminated by customizable LEDs (the logo, scroll wheel, and buttons), but it’s a lot less intrusive than others we’ve seen.
However, it is preferable for right-handed players, which can cause problems with left-handers.
Logitech G502 Hero
Without a doubt, the Logitech G502 Hero mouse is one of the best price-quality gaming mice of 2021.
It can be over 400 IPS and increments of 100 – 16,000 DPI without smoothing, filtering, or acceleration. You can also save profiles already pre-configured and ready to play directly or take your configuration anywhere.
Another advantage is that you can adjust the mouse’s weight, feel, and glide to your liking. The G502 Hero includes five 3.6g weights that can be used in various front, rear, left, right, and center weight configurations.
Experiment with alignment and balance to find the sweet spot where you can get the most out of your gaming performance.
In addition to the core performance and customization features, many details on this gaming mouse have been meticulously designed to make the gaming experience highly comfortable and efficient.
The main buttons with mechanical switches can up to 50 million clicks, ensuring your mouse will last long enough to pay for itself.
These characteristics have made the G502 Hero the world’s best-selling mouse and one of the best gaming mice in terms of value for money. From Buy It Well, we recommend it if you are looking for precision, response speed, and comfort.
Asus ROG Chakram
Most gaming mice focus on something specific. Sometimes it’s the DPI; sometimes it’s the customization, your wireless performance or battery life or whatever. The Asus ROG Chakram does its best to focus on all of these points at the same time.
The list of specifications for this flagship mouse and its features is almost exhausting. You can use it wired via USB, or via Bluetooth, or 2.4GHz wireless.
The 16,000 dpi sensor is top-of-the-line, and a bottom DPI button lets you adjust your response on the fly.
There are three zones of RGB light: under the main buttons, the scroll wheel, and a ROG logo under the palm. This is customizable, though – you can lift the box and remove the logo plate to swap it for the included white version, which you can customize however you see fit, as long as you have a steady hand and some artistic flair.
That is not all you can modify. All the buttons can be changed, and the lighting works with Aura Sync. Still, you can also change the mouse switches to replace damaged ones or adjust the feel to suit your playing style. All of this can be done without a screwdriver or other tools.
And what about the other buttons? In addition to the two side buttons, there is a built-in joystick (again, customizable, with multiple sizes included). You can use it in a digital model that assigns all four directions to specific inputs (for reloading, leaning around a corner, etc.) or in an analog style to substitute a thumb for flight simulations or racing games adequately.
It works fine, and my only real complaint is that it’s a bit further ahead than I’d like, so the way I naturally hold the mouse leaves my thumb right off the stick.
